About Glos Roots

I used to be a regular at the much missed Inferno Firepit venue in Tewkesbury, and it was there I realised how amazing local bands can be. So many talented musicians and incredible performers who are just as good as the bands you see on TV, but you can see them on a stage six feet away from you instead and chat to them in the bar afterwards. When The Inferno closed down in March 2026 I knew I had to find another venue to go to. Because I am a bit of a nerd I did a lot of research and made a list, and that list became a website. Because I’m from Tewkesbury the site is a bit biased right now towards North Gloucestershire, but I hope to put that right eventually.

I’m not a musician. I’m not a promoter. I just created this as a resource for myself, and I thought I would share it with the rest of the county. Hope you find it useful.
